As the Muppets are getting ready to take over the world (and its many theaters) this Thanksgiving, a new, final trailer has been released – and it mentions two of the biggest movie franchises of all times.
Since no one would dream to compare the Muppets to vampires (no matter how gorgeous or brooding they might be) or poltergeists, this last trailer does just that.
After kicking on a high note with a reference to “Going the Distance,” the adorable romcom with “the Mac guy” Justin Long and Drew Barrymore, the trailer gets down to more serious, spooky business.
Or not. Either way, it's still
incredibly adorable.
The parody trailer is obviously a well-thought attempt by Disney to attract audiences that wouldn't otherwise be that interested in the Muppets. A
smart move from the movie studio.
