Netbooks have become one of the most active segments of the computer market, having captured the attention of a series of industry players. Thanks to pioneers such as Intel and ASUS, the netbook market has reached impressive levels, with PC vendors now looking to adopt the former's next-generation platform for small-sized, ultraportable PCs. On that note, there are a number of other companies that have taken advantage of the impressive growth of the netbook market, by announcing a couple of products that have been designed as accessories for said form factor. Newton Peripherals is one of these companies and has now launched the MoGo, a small-sized mouse that has been designed for netbook users.

“No other mouse manufacturer including Logitech, Microsoft or Belkin has yet to develop a fully integrated Netbook mouse like the MoGo Mouse for Netbooks,” said Stuart Nixdorff, president of Newton Peripherals. “We developed the Netbook MoGo mouse kit to fully integrate the MoGo Presenter mouse with any Netbook. Now users can always have a charged Bluetooth MoGo mouse with their Netbook wherever they are.”

According to the specifications of this small-sized mouse, users will be provided with a device that measures 78 x 54 x 5 mm and weighs in at just 14 grams, being one of the most portable, slim mice for such computer systems. The device has also been equipped with an 800 DPI sensor and makes use of Bluetooth 2.0 technology, for connectivity. In addition, according to the company, the included battery pack can provide about 10 hours of runtime on a single charge, making it an excellent choice for most netbooks on the market.

Also bundled with a low-profile removable docking connector and charging cable, the MoGo mouse for netbook systems is expected to become available at the mogostore.com for a price tag of US$99.
