The Mitsubishi name is almost identical with fast cars designed to be real racers both on track and on the road. But the Japanese group counts a number of other companies that specialize in the development of something other than cars. One of those companies deals with the design and manufacturing of consumer television sets. Mitsubishi
Electric, a division of the Mitsubishi Group has announced yesterday the introduction of their Ultra Thin Frame Flat Panel TV.

The new product boasts an Integrated Sound Projector, enabling Mitsubishi's new Premium Flat Panel TV to revolutionize the entertainment experience. The iSP (integrated Sound Projector) will offer consumers an integrated home theater TV solution without the need for additional speakers or extra wires. This means that Mitsubishi's new product offers a straight out-of-the-box home theater product. The new lineup will come in 46-inch and 52-inch models.

"Mitsubishi's new Premium Flat Panel TV with iSP creates a new immersive audio experience with innovative sound technology that exceeds what is currently being offered on the market," said Frank DeMartin, vice president, marketing, at Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America. "The new Premium Flat Panel TV with iSP is ideal for consumers who have been craving a complete home theater TV solution without the complicated set-up and operation."

The company's entire line of Premium Flat Panel TVs features Smooth 120Hz Film Motion. Besides this, the new products also come with a built-in software application meant to enhance the users' TV experience. With the help of GalleryPlayer, users can select images from the application's comprehensive library of licensed digital photography and reproductions from National Geographic, The Metropolitan Museum of Art and more.

The LT-46149 (46-inch) and LT-52149 (52-inch) models are available at authorized retailers in the United States from July 2008. The MSRPs will be $3,299 and $3,699, respectively.
