Microsoft continues to work in its adCenter Desktop client, and is providing customers with a steady flow of updates, including new Beta releases with support for Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1). Now up at version 7.8, Microsoft adCenter Desktop Beta brings to the table a number of changes, among which the removal of the monthly budget field.

According to the Redmond company, this and future versions of the tool will no longer feature the monthly budget field.

Despite this, a monthly budget can still be calculated for users, but it will be done on the basis of the daily budget data. adCenter Desktop customers already know that up until version 7.7, the solution enabled them to input both monthly and daily budgets. This is no longer valid for v7.8 and above.

Customers leveraging adCenter need to understand that even if they don’t make the jump to version 7.8, entering a monthly budget is useless, since the system won’t take it into account.

Instead, the system will calculate the monthly budget amount based on the daily budget for each user, the software giant stated.

This is valid for customers continuing to rely on adCenter Desktop Beta 7.7, who need to understand that adCenter now automatically calculates their monthly maximum amount taking into account the daily budget, and nothing else.

According to the Redmond company, the change was introduced to streamline the process of planning and managing daily campaign budgets.

By opting to use the Monthly Budget Options, customers are able to continue administering their campaign budgets on a monthly level.

By upgrade to version 7.8, customers will be able to take advantage of a few improvements that Microsoft packed inside the latest release. The software giant opted to emphasize enhancements such as Quality Score Optimization, better Bid Suggestion, Admin-Free Upgrades and improved Campaign Budgeting.
