The hackers say they still have access to the company's systems

A few days ago, hackers of TeamBerserk leaked information they claimed to have obtained from the systems of Plateau, a New Mexico-based telecoms company. The firm has confirmed that it has been breached and that the hackers have stolen email addresses and passwords belonging to customers.

In a statement posted on its website, Plateau reassures customers that “the databases that store all other customer information were not affected or accessed.”

The company has told the Clovis News Journal that it identified an attack against its systems four months ago.

Plateau representatives say they were notified of this latest breach on Wednesday morning. The date and time coincide with the email I’ve sent out to them, but I still haven’t heard back from the company.

“Plateau is taking every precaution to ensure its customer accounts are secure and requesting customers change their email password immediately. We also encourage customers to consider changing passwords on other sites, if they use this same password or a close variation,” Plateau stated.

On the other hand, a few hours ago, TeamBerserk claimed it still had access to Plateau’s systems.
