New Meme Sweepes Through China – the Perfect Split

More and more girls in China are showing they can do a perfect split while performing other daily tasks – eating, reading, washing their cars etc.

This meme spreads like wildfire, mostly among college girls, after one student from Shangdong uploaded pictures of herself doing what she calls the perfect split.

Social networking websites were inundated with pictures of young girls, guys and even animals holding the uncomfortable position. Most Chinese girls uploaded photos of themselves doing the split on the popular Sina Weibo website (Chinese: 新浪微博; pinyin: Xīnlàng Wēibó; literally "Sina Microblog"), which many have called a hybrid between twitter and Facebook.

The girls are able to write on their computers or talk on the phone, while posing for the perfect shot of them trying out the meme.
