The brand new patch is now available on PS3 and Xbox 360

Rockstar Games has confirmed that it’s released a brand new title update for Max Payne 3 across the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms, bringing a wide array of improvements to the popular third-person shooter, including an automatic cheat protection system and shorter loading times.

Max Payne 3 came out back in May for consoles and at the beginning of June for the PC. While the story left plenty of old max Payne fans with mixed feelings, the game’s multiplayer mode has attracted many players and is still quite popular.

As such, in order to keep the online community active, Rockstar has confirmed that a brand new patch is now available on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles.

The update brings a variety of fixes and adjustments, ranging from shorter loading times to various improvements made to the Gang Wars wager system, but also new features like a Multiplayer Player Card or an automated cheat protection system.

Check out the full list of things included in the new Max Payne 3 update below.

- The new Multiplayer Player Card, which allows you and your friends to track multiplayer stats including current amount of XP, total kills, favorite weapon and more. - New Automated cheat protection and lag protection measures. - Improvements to multiplayer load times - Players can now spawn with dual wield if they have two sidearms and no two-handed weapon equipped - Polish language support has been added - Party leader now has the option of taking entire party with them when they back out of a match - Weapon rank in the Arsenal is now visible on the left side of the screen, not just the right - The Crew menu is now available inside lobbies - XP gained for completing Grinds no longer contributes to rankings in Gang Wars matches - Improvements to the spectator camera in Gang Wars - Gang Wars wager system improved to better show betting results Besides the aforementioned changes, the new update also adds Payne Thresholds to the game, which will be used by the upcoming free Disorganized Crime Pack DLC next week.
