BioWare, in between confirming that its two founders are retiring from the gaming industry and that more DLC is coming for its recent Mass Effect 3, has also posted a new balance update for the game's multiplayer mode.

Mass Effect 3 has been around for quite some time and, despite being launched in March, it's been supported by plenty of DLC and updates, both for its single-player campaign and its online multiplayer.

Now, the weekly balance update for the game's cooperative mode has just been released and quite a few things are included, like an all new Rare weapon, in the form of the Argus Assault Rifle.

What's more, besides this new gun, the update also buffs a variety of other rifles, including three snipers and the Locust SMG, which now boast better stats and damage outputs.

Check out the full list of changes that are part of the new balance update for Mass Effect 3 below.

Argus Assault Rifle now available as a new Rare weapon

Locust SMG

- Damage increased from [37.7-47.1] to [40.8-51.0] - Headshot damage multiplier increased from 2.5 to 3 - Magazine size increased from 20 to 25 - Max spare ammo increased from [260-340] to [275-350]

Viper Sniper Rifle

- Damage increased from [265.6-332.0] to [292.1-365.2]

Incisor Sniper Rifle

- Damage increased from [74.6-93.3] to [84.8-106.0]

Raptor Sniper Rifle

- Encumbrance decreased from [1.75-1.0] to [1.0-0.7] BioWare has also confirmed that, for next week's update, it's going to examine the popular Carnifex pistol and the Piranha shotgun, so expect them to see a worsening of their stats and damage.

Besides taking care of the single-player and multiplayer modes, the studio is working on add-ons for both of them, so expect to hear more about these DLC packs soon.
