As I reported earlier this week, the latest issue of Total Film magazine brings an exclusive first look of Zack Snyder’s upcoming Superman film, “Man of Steel.” More photos are now available online.

As you usual, you can see them in the gallery below.

Speaking with the publication, director Zack Snyder explains how the goal behind the project was to make a Superman who, though still alien, was more relatable.

Henry Cavill, the handsome actor who would be donning the flying cape (but not the red undies) on the big screen, describes the character as “Superman for a modern age.”

“It’s not betraying anything that Superman is, but it is grounding everything in reality. It’s the story of this incredible being who can do incredible things, but whom we can associate with. Because he’s gone through troubling stuff and had to make tough choices…,” he explains.

“Man of Steel” will fly into theaters on June 14.
