Guillermo del Toro-produced horror is bound to keep you on the edge of your seat

Nothing makes a horror movie creepier than having a (mostly silent) kid in it, whose main skill seems to be that of staring purposely into the camera. Unless, of course, you have two equally creepy kids.

One such project is “Mama” from producer Guillermo del Toro, which got a brand new trailer recently that you will find embedded above.

“Mama” tells the story of two little girls discovered in the woods, where they had been hiding for years. A couple (Jessica Chastain and “Game of Thrones’” Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) decides to adopt them and do whatever they can to help them.

However, as all people come with certain baggage, so do these two girls, the only difference being that their “baggage” is of the ghostly, murderous kind.

Truth be told, this second trailer might reveal a bit too much of the film but, even so, it’s still spooky as hell (pun intended).

As fans must know, with del Toro, most of the time, it’s not the actual story that he’s telling that gets to you but rather the unique, odd and totally terrifying way in which he tells it.

“Mama” will be out on January 18, 2013.
