The development team at EA Sports working on Madden NFL 13 has revealed that it would launch a new title update for the game around the date of October 16 on both the PlayStation 3 from Sony and on the Xbox 360 from Microsoft.

The main feature linked to the title update is the addition of custom offline rosters, which allow players to start an offline career using a custom roster which reflects their own view of the league and the teams.

Players will also be able to edit gear and information for players in a Connected Careers, and for the same game type gamers will also be able to use the coach mode.

For the Connected Careers content players will also be able to change offensive and defensive schemes and bring new people to the game.

Madden NFL 13 also gets a clock during the draft period, designed to keep players connected to the process even if they are visiting other sections of the game and the draft also gets a special filter.

The major changes to the American football simulation are joined in the upcoming title update by a number of smaller bug fixes and tweaks.

EA Sports has traditionally been very reactive after the launch of Madden NFL titles and has listened to the player base in order to see what bugs it is finding and what mechanical changes it wants.

Madden NFL 13 was launched on August 28 in the United States and three days later in Europe and one week after that EA Sports revealed that the game has managed to sell more than 1.6 million units.

EA Sports will probably continue to deliver title updates for Madden NFL 13 as the season progresses, both fixing game problems and making sure that new mechanics are added when gamers ask for them.
