14 DAY TRIAL // Video game developer Avalanche Software says that it has responded favorably to requests from fans and that the main character of the new Mad Max title will have an Australian accent after all.
A Twitter message from Christofer Sundberg, the leader of the studio, states, "Attn. fans who want Max to have an Aussie accent in #MadMaxGame : It shall be so. We admire your loyalty. You have been heard."
The executive has not mentioned who will be the actor that will provide the Australian accent.
Fans of the Mad Max universe launched a petition in June requesting the change after Avalanche talked about using an actor who used a straight American accent.
The plot of the game will be loosely linked to that of the new movie based on the same franchise.
