New Low-priced Pioneer Receivers: Nifty and Affordable

Pioneer have just released their new series of audio/video receivers with the VSX codename, three models which are sworn to deliver all the great multimedia integration and the acclaimed pristine Pioneer sound in your home or office. These three new AVRs can be used as the core of a complex multimedia rack, comprising audio gear like CD/SACD players, a DVD unit, your TV, radio tuner, etc., and will let you add a new dimension to your media experience.



The VSX-918V-K is the top-drawer item in the new Pioneer AVR series and packs a heap of features with an incredible price.

You'll get DTS 96/24, Dolby Digital and Dolby ProLogic II decoders with no less than 14 surround modes, including vocal/dialog enhancements and all sorts of theater presets to turn your living room in a true home cinema.

It also boasts 2 HDMI-ready 1080p and 3 HD-ready component inputs, 5 A/V and 3 dedicated
audio-ins, a full-function remote control and speaker calibration technology. The VSX-918V-K has a MSRP of just under $350, which makes it one of the must-have items in your home.

The middle-range model is codenamed VSX-818V-K and comes with HDMI 1080p switching, digital USB iPod input, auto room-calibration, five 120W channels and satellite radio-ready features. It has an announced price of $249 and also comes with a remote control. The entry-level AVR from Pioneer, the VSX-518-K, boasts the same 5-channel hybrid amplifier with 120W per channel, digital coaxial and optical inputs, 12+2 surround presets and a convenient front-panel aux input for your digital portable player. The VSX-518-K retails for a killer MSRP of just $199 and can be the premium choice for someone who wants to get used to the AVR convenience without rolling the big money right from the start.
