One of the most anticipated releases of this fall is, without a doubt, “Looper,” the time-traveling sci-fi / action film starring Bruce Wills and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. A new poster is available above.

Besides the fact that this new pic sends off some strong “Inception” vibes, it's perfect for the film it promotes: Bruce and Joe are neither friends nor enemies because they're the same person, a hired gun who uses time travel to help the mob get rid of unwanted associates.

When the time comes to meet face to face – and it does –, they must first face in each other before they tackle their common enemy, the mobster who would close the loop by having our hired gun killed – both in the past and future.

“Time travel will be invented, but it will be illegal and only available on the black market. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they send their target 30 years into the past, where a 'looper' – a hired gun, like Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) – is waiting to mop up,” reads a brief synopsis of the film.

“Joe is getting rich and life is good... until the day the mob decides to 'close the loop,' sending back Joe’s future self (Bruce Willis) for assassination,” it further says.

“Looper” hits on September 28.
