New 'Lockout' Trailer Sets Up Guy Pearce as the Hero

“Lockout” is coming out this April and, after some weeks of speculation as to its plot and official name, we finally have all the answers, thanks to a brand new trailer from IGN.

Initially dubbed “MS One: Maximum Security” or “Lock-Out,” the film plays like “Taken” set in space, as we also noted on a previous occasion.

The plot details offered in the new trailer further strengthen this impression, while also confirming that, indeed, some FX are really bad.

Either way, Guy Pearce seems to do a wonderful job as an ex-con (?) asked to save the President's daughter from a prison in space under lockdown because of an inmate riot.

If there's one place to play the hero, this is it.

“Lockout” will premiere in the US on April 20.
