In an effort to better promote its line of IdeaPad netbooks, Lenovo is reportedly planning to launch a new option for its IdeaPad S10 netbook, which will provide users with a choice for 3G connectivity.
The company's plans were made available after the manual of the upcoming model was leaked onto the Internet, showcasing some of the features that would be made available on IdeaPad S10-2 netbook. The option for 3G connectivity will see the netbook lose its built-in ExpressCard slot, which wasn't featured on its predecessor.

website, costumers will be given the opportunity to pick an Atom-powered netbook with an integrated 3G solution. The system will offer support for 3G HSPA, EVDO and WiMAX, further increasing the range of connectivity options that will enable a user to connect tot the Internet. This feature will also enable Lenovo to partner with different network carriers worldwide and offer the S10-2 as part of a network contract.
The additional specifications of Lenovo's upcoming IdeaPad netbook, include the standard 1GB of DDR2 memory, a 10.1-inch WSVGA display and choice for either a HDD or an SSD storage solution. Users will be able to fit their netbooks with as much as 360GB of storage space for HDDs solutions, or 32GB on SSD-based storage. There's also a choice for a VGA or a 1.3MP webcam and either a 6-cell or a 3-cell battery pack.
There's no word on pricing, but when the IdeaPad S10-2 becomes available, users will also be able to take advantage of the usual array of connectivity options, including three USB 2.0 ports, a 4-in-1 memory card reader, VGA out, audio in/out, an Ethernet LAN port, plus the necessary Wi-Fi and Bluetooth options.
