The Weinstein Company is using all the hype around Chris Nolan's “The Dark Knight Rises” to boost Tom Hardy's profile even further. Considering they have “Lawless” to promote, we can't really complain. We wouldn't otherwise either, especially since we think Hardy is one of the most promising actors of the day.
After his turn as Bane in the final installment of “Batman,” he will be seen in “
Lawless,” which is out on August 29.
He plays one of the Bondourant brothers, bootleggers, opposite Shia LaBeouf. Gary Oldman and Guy Pearce are also in the film, playing demented crooked cops who would stop at nothing to get a share of the bootlegging pie.
The film also stars Jessica Chastain and Mia Wasikowska, and it just got a brand new trailer which focuses more on Hardy's character.
