At the beginning of the week, LG announced it is prepping three new tablets from the G Pad family for release, including 7-, 8- and 10-inch ones.

But back then we couldn’t tell you much about the particular specifications of the slate. Now, the smallest of the bunch has showed up on the AnTuTu benchmarking website, revealing its insides, TheDroidGuy (via AnTuTu China) reports.

As it turns out, the slate has a quad-core Snapdragon 400 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz running the show fitted with 1GB of RAM and backed up by 8GB of internal storage.

Mention of the two 7-inch cameras is also spotted, in the form of a 1.3MP frontal camera and 3.2MP rear one. Sadly, the resolution of the tablet is pretty standard, being set at the usual 1280 x 800 pixels. The tablet’s default operating system is Android 4.4 2 KitKat.

It’s pretty evident LG will be competing head to head with Samsung’s Galaxy Tab4 line-up which also consists of 7-, 8- and 10-inch models.

If LG plays its cards right and prices the tablet affordably, the entry-level slate might draw some attention upon itself.

The new G Pad tablets are the successors of the 8.3-inch G Pad model, which was unveiled last year. Comparatively, the slate has FHD display, Snapdragon 600 GPU and just received the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update last month.
