A leak from the Japanese magazine Famitsu has revealed that the new game from Keiji Inafune will be called Yaiba and it is a new game built around a zombie apocalypse.

The Famitsu information does not cover a potential launch date or the platforms on which the game will arrive, which might mean that Yaiba is designed to appear on next-generation home consoles.

Yaiba will use an action game template with a number of twists.

Keiji Inafune is best known for creating the Mega Man series and since departing Capcom the developer has promised a number of interesting new video games, although he has not made official announcements.

Inafune also worked on the first Dead Rising video game, another zombie apocalypse experience.

The official announcement for the next Keiji Inafune game will be made during the Tokyo Game Show and presumably, fans will also get more information and a reveal trailer.
