It’s been almost a year that nothing new has been heard of “Jonah Hex,” the supernatural action movie / western starring Josh Brolin, Megan Fox and John Malkovich, which will see the forces of evil struggling to achieve world domination. A new poster has just been released, introducing both the good guys and the baddies, AceShowbiz informs.

Though this is a project that has not gotten too much media while it was still being shot, anticipation for it is huge – and rising as we speak. The release of the poster has gotten many fans of the genre super thrilled about the impending release of the film (it arrives in theaters in June this year), which, in turn, has made way for talk of how it might actually stand a chance in the race to become one of the best selling productions of the year.

“A look at John Malkovich’s Quentin Turnbull has been shared through the latest poster from ‘Jonah Hex.’ Making its way out via Yahoo! Movies, the new image features the major antagonist holding what looks like a fire ball. Also introduced in the one-sheet is Turnbull’s psychopathic right-hand man Burke, who is played by Michael Fassbender. Still, the picture gives a bigger portion to Josh Brolin’s Jonah Hex and Megan Fox’s Leila who are prominently exposed in this poster,” AceShowbiz writes.

The only difference between this poster and the first one is, as fans can see for themselves, the fact that this one includes the baddies as well, together with the promise of being a good action flick. “Adapted from Western comic books of the same title, ‘Jonah Hex’ will revolve around bounty hunter Hex who has survived death. In exchange for his freedom, he is ordered by the U.S. military to stop a terrorist who is ready to unleash Hell on Earth. He is hired to track down Turnbull, with whom he shares a troubled past,” the aforementioned e-zine says of the plot.

Though causing quite a storm at Comic Con last year, this is one production that fans have had to believe in blindly so far. The first official trailer will be released later this week, ongoing reports say, which means fans don’t have to wait that much longer for first footage from the film.
