Japanese mobile phone maker Sony Mobile has had new Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean firmware certified for the Xperia S (LT26i) devices, and should begin pushing it out soon.

The new software, spotted at the PTCRB as version 6.2.B.0.211, should arrive on devices with a variety of bug fixes when compared to the previous release, namely version 6.2.B.0.200.

According to a recent post on XperiaBlog, Sony Mobile has already confirmed that the update will be released during week 23-24.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Sony started pushing out the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS to Xperia S users last week and that the owners of Xperia SL and Xperia acro S devices also got a taste of its enhancements, which included Google Now, improved notifications, better performance, and more.
