14 DAY TRIAL // Kim Kardashian owes most of her fame to her association to Paris Hilton, her famous father and, last but not least, a certain intimate leaked tape. A new one is now on the market and, provided it finds the right buyer, may emerge soon.
Considering what a long way Kim has come since her first outing as an amateur “actress,” this second tape is on the market for a ridiculously high sum: $30 million (€23.08 million).
Fox News underlines that the situation is even more ridiculous considering that the tape isn’t even new: it’s old and it also stars her then-boyfriend Ray J, who many might recognize as the protagonist in the first release as well.
“It’s definitely Kim in the video. And it’s even raunchier than her last one. There are all kinds of eye-popping moments,” an insider says for the publication.
Kim is said to be seriously worried that someone might actually pay this kind of money to release the tape, in which case all the hard work she’s been putting in these past several years will go down the gutter.
Another reason for concern is her relationship to rapper Kanye West, who is said to be on the verge of asking Kim’s hand in marriage.
If even more sordid details from her past come out to light, chances are he might reconsider on that.
Then, there is the question of whether Kim might actually stand to profit from this leak, just like she did the first time around.
“Kardashian did not authorize the release her first video, but reportedly ended up reaching a settlement in which she received millions in profits from its distribution,” Fox News writes.
There was even some talk at one point that it was Kim and her mother and manager Kris Jenner who came up with the idea, as a means to have her public profile receive a major boost.
