Although the new dual-core Intel Atom N570 CPU has just made its way onto the market, its first implementations have already started to pop up, including here a new, refreshed version of Asus' Eee PC 1015PN netbook, that's just been spotted within the company's booth at CeBIT 2011.

Without a doubt, the ION 2-equipped Eee PC 1015PN has really managed to capture the hearts and minds of reviewers and users from all over the world, given the fact that it managed to provide a very good combo of portability, long battery life and computing performance.

For this reason, the fact that it's been upgraded and now features one of the most powerful netbook-bound Intel CPUs around comes as a very nice surprise, especially for those people out there seriously considering getting themselves a new such ultra-portable computing system.

The updated 1015PN was spotted by the guys over at JKKMobile over at CeBIT 2011, and, beside the new dual-core, dual-thread, 1.66 Ghz CPU from Intel, it offers roughly the same configuration as its predecessor.

In other words, you'll have to expect the new CPU to be paired with an 8-core next-generation ION graphics unit (or ION 2, for short) from NVIDIA, as well as 1GB of DDR3 RAM memory.

The configuration is completed by the 10.1-inch, 1024 x 600 pixels display, a 250GB HDD (not particularly large, but it will have to do, given the netbook's ultra-portable nature), as well as a 6-cell battery.

While no details regarding the pricing or availability of the updated Asus Eee PC 1015PN have been provided just yet, we certainly hope that the computer manufacturer will make the smart choice here and keep the pricing at the same level as its predecessor (in fact, we really believe that this will be the case, given the fact that the model equipped with the N550 has already reached the end of life status).
