Infamous: Second Son has just received a brand new official PS4 gameplay video that shows off an evil playthrough of a mission from the game, as well as the different powers that are unlocked when protagonist Delsin Rowe goes down a darker path under the guidance of the player.

Infamous: Second Son, just like previous games in the series, will once again place a huge emphasis on moral choices, as players can decide just how protagonist Delsin Rowe behaves in terms of the story as well as when he interacts with other characters, from his brother Reggie to fellow super-powered conduit Fetch.

So far, developer Sucker Punch and publisher Sony have released quite a few gameplay videos with the open world title, mostly revolving around the key powers of Delsin as well as his good choices that can be taken in the story.

This time around, however, the two companies have premiered a new gameplay video, via PS blog, that shows off an evil mission playthrough, as well as the special abilities that Delsin gets when walking down the darker path of the story.

"Like the previous games in the Infamous series, Second Son gives you the option to use your powers heroically or ruthlessly. The path you choose will affect every aspect of the game, from character relationships to powers development to the story itself."

More specifically, in the video above, Delsin convinces Fetch, a fellow super-powered Conduit who can control the neon ability to take out a bunch of protesters who are opposing conduits and supporting the DPU government agents.

Sucker Punch has also confirmed just how going down the evil path in the story affects the power system, as players will unlock devastating areas of effect abilities that destroy everything in their path.

"For players who choose the ruthless path, combat is fast, explosive, and lethal. Restraint is unnecessary. The faster you can obliterate your enemies, the sooner you’ll gain access to your strongest powers, and it doesn’t matter who gets hurt along the way."

Second Son owners who go down the good side of the story will be able to employ precision attacks that can be used to avoid causing civilian casualties, according to the studio.

"For those who choose to be heroic, combat is about accuracy and precision. Explosions are great, but civilian casualties are not. Your rewards will come from helping citizens and from using your abilities to capture enemies alive. The standards are higher, but for those who want to be a hero, that’s exactly the point."

Infamous: Second Son launches worldwide on March 21 exclusively for the PlayStation 4 platform.
