New Images and Details About the Asus Green PC Concept

We showed you at the end of February a new concept Asus is preparing in its labs, the Green PC.

This consists of a series of modules with different sizes and well defined roles, processor, hard disk, memory, processor, graphics card etc., and is likely to revolutionize the world of computers.

"Not having any cable running between them, they
would communicate wirelessly to see each other and to exchange data," the article on February 25 said

We wanted to find out more, so we contacted the Asus Romania official, Mr. Liviu Marica, who told us a few words about the project.

"ASUS Green is a visionary concept of our company, through which we will offer ecological solutions for components, as well as for the whole computer. The modular system will allow new upgrade and reusage methods", he said.

Our previous knowledge combined with the new images gave us a new insight on the concept. It seems that the modules used for the desktop computer (if we can call it like that) will be usable with the notebooks belonging to the same project. The advantages associated with the compatibility between the desktop components and the notebooks are numerous, but one of the most important one is the considerable reduction of costs.
Additionally, Asus also plans a distribution and renting system for these modules, which will offer users the opportunity to have their components brought at the door by an Asus representative. Those who don't wish to buy the interchangeable modules, will be able to rent them for a period of time, such as a business trip.

It remains to be seen how long the Taiwanese producer will take before this revolutionary concept is put into practice.
