Coming in 14-, 15- and 16-inch sizes

Lenovo has just refreshed its IdeaPad Y series lineup with the introduction of three new portable computer systems, each coming in a different size. The company's new Y450 is the smallest of the three, providing a display size of 14-inch, while the Y550 and Y650 have been designed to boast 15.6-inch and 16-inch screen sizes. All of the three new IdeaPad laptops can deliver widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio and provide support for some of the latest in portable computing technology, featuring high-performance hardware, enabling users to maximize their productivity.

The new IdeaPad portable PCs have been designed to provide the company's customers with a choice for a powerful High-Definition entertainment PC, coming in three new sizes. According to Lenovo, its new IdeaPad Y-series laptops are smaller, thinner and lighter than the company's previous generation of laptops. All of the three new systems have been featured with a similar design coming in a user's choice for size. Among the features the IdeaPad laptops have in common, we should mention the high-capacity 500GB hard disk drive, for maximum storage, and up to 4GB of DDR3 memory, for higher computing performance.

Designed to provide an excellent HD visual experience, the new systems have been featured with support for NVIDIA's latest GFX graphics, providing users with support for gaming and smooth HD video playback. In addition, the largest of the three, the IdeaPad Y650, boasts JBL speakers, providing support for rich, resonate sound.

Additional features that have been built in the new IdeaPad Y-series laptops set Lenovo's systems apart from the majority of their competitors. With the VeriFace facial recognition technology, users can log in to their Windows operating system without being required to remember complicated passwords.

According to the pricing and availability details delivered by the company, the new IdeaPad laptops are slated to become available come March, for a starting MSRP of $1,199 for the IdeaPad Y650, and $829 for the IdeaPad Y550 and Y450.
