Joe Lynch is to start shooting one brand new horror movie sequel: Wrong Turn2.
The sequel is set to shoot in Vancouver from May 29 thru June 30 at The Bridge Studios in Burnaby.
No actor or movie star name was given to the press yet but the team's names are already known: Turi Meyer and Al Septien wrote the screenplay.
This time the story is to be focused on the mutants, not on the innocent young tourists: Ma and Pa, the inbred brother and sister who spawned the deformed villains seen in the original movie will be "the stars".
The first 2003 Wrong Turn film starred Eliza Dushku and was also shot in the Toronto area. It became a cult hit and made $15 million at the box office on a budget of $10 million. It also gained money when released on DVD.
Fact is the powerful sensations the first movie induced its horror-crazed audiences are to be traced back to other cult movies, such as Texas Chainsaw Massacre and all its sequels.
