Apple is still isn’t shipping its new Cinema Display which boasts a glossy 27-inch screen, built-in iSight video camera, ambient light sensor, microphone and speakers, powered USB 2.0 hub, and universal MagSafe connector, yet the company seems to be doing everything in its power to hint at its imminent release this month.

The new 27-inch LED Cinema Display features a 16:9 edge-to-edge glass display on an aluminum stand with an adjustable hinge, identical to the one found on new generation iMacs.

According to Apple, “The LED Cinema Display has vivid colors and exceptionally high contrast and uses a premium display technology called in-plane switching (IPS) to provide a brilliant image across an ultra wide 178 degree viewing angle.”

The $999 accessory was announced as early as July, yet Apple scheduled the sale for September.

“With built-in MagSafe charging, iSight camera, speakers, and USB ports, the LED Cinema Display is ideal for MacBook and MacBook Pro users,”said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing.

The Apple exec added: “With its massive 2560 x 1440 resolution, the new 27-inch LED Cinema Display is a perfect fit with our powerful new Mac Pro, and it gives iMac users an easy way to double their screen real estate.”

Starting this month, Apple’s online store became a tad glitchy in that several listings referred to the monitor’s availability, although the company was yet to launch it.

Initially, the 27-inch Cinema Display was mentioned in the custom-configuration pages of the new Mac Pros.

The description has since been removed but, now, new listings indicate the device is being prepped for shipping.

MacRumors points out to altered listings for Apple’s larger 30-inch Cinema HD Display.

According to the Mac maker’s online store, the accessory is currently unavailable. Neither is the 24-inch model.

The report specifically notes that these hints are followed by the apparent complete discontinuation of both models in several international online Apple stores.

Apple continues to list the 27-inch display as "Coming September" in the US. However, based on these recent indications, the company could be taking orders for the display soon.
