New, Hi-Res Stills for 'The Dark Knight Rises'

If the releases of last week weren't enough to whet your (Batman) appetite, here's more. Warner Bros. has just released 4 brand new, clean and hi-res stills from the upcoming “The Dark Knight Rises.”

The photos initially run in Empire, but were heavily edited.

Starring Christian Bale as the caped crusader and Tom Hardy as the ruthless villain Bane, the third and final Batman installment from Chris Nolan is, without a doubt, one of the most anticipated movies of the year.

The fresh set of photos will only make the buzz around it even stronger. While they reveal nothing about the context they were taken for, they do offer a very good look at the two arch-rivals.

Batman looks just as determined as ever to save Gotham (and perhaps a bit more dangerous too), but it's Bane that all eyes are drawn to.

If there ever was a rival worthy of the Bat, he is the one: not only is he massive, but there's also a sense of menace that seems to emanate from his mere presence.

“The Dark Knight Rises” also stars Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard.
