Galaxy S III is a highly appealing device, especially when used on a fast 4G LTE network such as that operated by Verizon Wireless.

However, Samsung’s handset does lack some features at Big Red, including the possibility to connect to GSM networks.

Of course, Verizon did promise a software update to enable the global roaming capabilities on this phone, but no specific info on when it is bound to land has been provided.

Those users who do not want to wait for the official update can now grab a new hack that emerged for the device to enable the roaming features on Galaxy S III, provided that they do need it.

However, they should know right from the start that the hacking process involves a large number of steps, including rooting the phone, as detailed in this forum thread.
