Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation has been long rumored to be working on a new handset powered by the Google Android operating system and which will arrive on Verizon Wireless' airwaves, the HTC Incredible, and now a series of new photos with the device emerged. Moreover, some details on the hardware specs and features of the phone are also available, offering us the possibility to learn what Big Red's customers will be able to purchase soon.

Among the new specs that are available for the HTC Incredible, we can count a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor that runs at 768MHz, along with 512MHz of RAM, of which only 320MB are said to be available. While the ROM amount is about the same as the one present on the Nexus One, the underclocked processor comes as surprise, yet it might be a battery-saving measure HTC has put in place for the device.

However, the Incredible will still come with the Android 2.1 operating system on board, as well as with HTC's Sense experience thrown over it, and it seems that it does perform fast enough, even with the processor running at a slower speed. At the same time, the new phone is expected to boast an 8-megapixel photo snapper, which should offer users the possibility to take pretty nice shots.

The device measures 117.5 x 58.5 x 11.9 mm, is reportedly including a 1300 mAh battery inside, 6 GB ROM, and a MicroSDHC memory card slot for additional storage space (an 8GB memory card should be included in the package, it seems). An FM Tuner and optical track pad are also among the rumored specs, but info on other features lack at the moment.

For the time being, there are not too many details available on the launch date of Incredible either, but some of the latest rumors suggested that it might replace the Droid Eris on Verizon's lineup. However, Engadget (which has more renderings with the Incredible) says that April or May might bring the phone to the market, something that has been suggested by the guys over at Android Forums.
