HP launched its next-gen Chromebook 14 back at IFA 2014 in September. The laptop is among the few that take advantage of a Tegra K1 processor under the hood.

Actually, only the Acer Chromebook 13 operates on the same chip architecture, but now HP has another one for you. Say hi to the HP Chromebook 14 Touch. Yes, it’s exactly what the name suggests.

It’s basically the Chromebook 14 with Tegra K1 plus the extra touch screen display added on top. As you’d expect, the laptop is a little bit more expensive than your average Chromebook model and it should suck you dry of $439 / €358.

The HP webpage doesn't say whether the laptop embeds a 32-bit Cortex A-15 model or the 64-bit Denver variant instead. It’s probably the 32-bit version like it was the case with the model which got launched a few months ago.

The new Chromebook arrives with a 14-inch display with 1080p or 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution.

Anyway, HP throws in 4GB of RAM, 32GB of eMMC storage plus Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0, SuperSpeed USB and HDMI.

The laptop weighs 3.77 lbs / 1.71 kg and bundles a 37Wh battery which will be capable of pumping up to 8.25 hours of juice.

The lappy could have probably handled more, but given that we have a touchscreen onboard, 8.25 hours seems like a decent life span.
