Google Chrome, a browser built on the WebKit layout engine that aims to be minimalistic and versatile at the same time, is now at version 27.0.1438.7.

The dev version of Google Chrome is now out for Linux users, but it's not quite as consistent as the others.

Highlights of Google Chrome 27.0.1438.7:

• Introduce kInitialChangestamp to DriveResourceMetadataTest. This is in preparation for adding tests that check the per-directory changestamp to be zero, for newly added directories by RefreshDirectory(); • The activation state of the launcherbutton has been fixed, after context menu usage; • Notifications Galore! test app now work with older Notification API; • "components" have been added to the directories checked by check_grd; • The Animation, AnimationEvent, AnimationCurve, KeyframedAnimationCurve, and LayerAnimationController classes now use chromium style.

A complete list of bug fixes and changes can be found in the official changelog. Download Google Chrome 27.0.1438.7 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
