Google has released a new build for the beta version of their web browser. The development team made some modifications to the application and incremented the build number to 17.0.963.33.

The most important of them is increasing the Omnibox Prerender percentage. Also, the overall opt-in has been raised to 99%. This means that users of this release should see faster navigation, since web pages are already loading as you type in the address.

The condition for this outcome is simple: the browser must record a propensity towards choosing that page. Basically, if you start typing an address, the first suggestion you’re most likely to access already starts to load.

Along with this change, Google Chrome Beta 17.0.963.33 also delivers fixes for error handling in audio wave out, and the SafeBrowsing download hash list is no longer updated.

"the SafeBrowsing download hash list is no longer updated." This concerns me. Are you saying SafeBrowsing will now be outdated, or not used?

They won't be needing it. They announced they had a better system for tracking down malicious downloads (EXE and MSI files), heuristics most likely, in the previous Google Chrome beta.
