The Beta branch of Google Chrome, a browser built on the Blink layout engine that aims to be minimalistic and versatile at the same time, is now at version 37.0.2062.76 and it's moving fast towards becoming the next Stable release.

Google Chrome usually features three distinct branches: Dev, Beta, and Stable. The Beta release is a little bit more stable than the Development one, but it's still pretty far off from day-to-day usage.

This is not a very large update, but it does come with a few interesting modifications. It will be a while before we see any of these changes trickle into the stable releases and some of them can't arrive soon enough.

According to the changelog, the bounds of objects in the accessibility tree have been updated, connections from the same user are now allowed to the DevTools server socket, the shelf background has been corrected and can now blend with the dock, a screen-locking crash has been fixed, and a scrollbar painting problem with PDF files in HiDPI mode with fractional scales has been fixed.

The Google Chrome developers only provide two kinds of binary files, deb and rpm, and no source. If you are not using a Linux distribution capable of reading this type of files, you will have to wait until it hits your repositories.

Usually, a complete list of changes can be found on the official website.
