New Google Chrome 29 Beta Brings Omnibox and Performance Improvements

Google Chrome, a browser built on the WebKit layout engine that aims to be minimalistic and versatile at the same time, is now at version 29.0.1547.22 Beta.

Google has decided that upgrade the development version to Beta and not the 29.x branch is the latest in the series.

Highlights of Google Chrome 29.0.1547.22 Beta:

• The Omnibox suggestions have been improved;
• A number of new apps/extension APIs have been added;
• A lot of under the hood changes for stability and performance have been implemented.
