Normally, the Radeon R7 260X graphics card from Advanced Micro Devices and its OEMs costs around $130 to $150 / €130 to €150, but the newest one from Gigabyte gets away with $107 / €107.
It's not without sacrifices though. Gigabyte cut the amount of VRAM (video random access memory) in half.
Thus, instead of 2 GB, there is a single GB available, although the clock of 6.5 GHz at least ensures that performance is still good in all games, as long as multi-monitor configurations aren't attempted at top graphics settings anyway.
The board has a single-fan cooler (100 mm), a GPU clock of 1188 MHz (versus normal 1100 MHz), a 128-bit memory interface and four video outputs (dual-DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort).
Only pre-orders can be placed for now, but availability should ramp up soon, by the time CES 2014 has come and gone most likely (January 7-10).
