One of the biggest changes for the upcoming Gears of War: Judgment is the control scheme and the development team at Epic Games believes that it will eliminate all the frustration that previous installments in the series could generate.

Quinn DelHoyo, the multiplayer lead working on Gears of War: Judgment, is quoted by VG247 as saying that, “we’re moving the clunkiness and frustration that sometimes players complained about.”

He adds, “With the new control scheme Y is a quick weapons switch. Left bumper is the off hand grenades. Changing the control scheme was probably one of the biggest, boldest moves that we went with when we were developing this game.”

The developer believes that the new scheme is easy to understand and that many casual gamers will be able to just pick up a controller and join in a game of Gears of War: Judgment.
