Those who know their engines are probably all too familiar with Voith Turbo, which is basically a German company specializing in automotive transmissions.

Rumor has it that, at this year's EuroBus Expo, set to take place in November, this company will introduce the general public to a new four-speed automatic gearbox designed and manufactured specifically to serve the bus market and help green it up a bit.

What we got from all the science talk revolving this new gearbox is that, thanks to some very innovative technologies, buses could soon produce significantly less noise emissions, and that their overall fuel efficiency will be noteworthy to say the least.

Should we also take into consideration the epic commercial promoting public transportation we introduced you to only a few days ago, it is quite likely that this particular industrial branch will soon yield major benefits as far as cutting down on global pollution levels is concerned.
