Apacer introduces two new SD flash memory devices, a microSD card and a SD Pro 88X flash card, to round out its line of SD products. With these new additions, the company offers consumers a complete line of SD flash cards to match their device's digital storage needs.
Apacer currently offers the Flash Series and Mobile Series of SD flash cards.
The Flash Series includes the
SD Pro II 150X, the new SD Pro 88X and general purpose SD cards. The Mobile Series includes the miniSD card as well as the new microSD card. Apacer's new SD card series comply with the SD 1.1 card standard established by the SDA (SD card Association) and are compatible with most cellular phones, digital cameras, MP3 players, PDAs and other devices with a SD card slot. Apacer's SD cards support SDMI (Secure Digital Music Initiative) for copyright and IP protection, and include a write-protect switch to avoid accidental erasure of data.
Apacer released 128 MB microSD card and SD Pro 88X cards. Motorola and Samsung have launched phones that support microSD cards and, as cell phones continue to shrink in size, its small size (15 x 11 x 1 mm) will continue to support this trend. Apacer's SD Pro 88X card is intended for professional camera use as well as general applications. The card's memory size ranges from 128 MB to 2 GB and operates at a frequency of 50 MHz.
