We're happy to let you know about Cowon's latest efforts to provide their customers with a better multimedia experience as far as the firmware/ behavior of some products is concerned.

Namely, three of Cowon's players receive new firmware that addresses some reported errors and bugs, promising a smoother experience. The C2 is first on the list, now getting firmware 1.15.

The new firmware fixes the errors occurring after transferring files from Mac or Linux-powered computers, while correcting the errors that could result with transferring files on a device with firmware 1.12. At the same time, the old firmware caused some play errors with MP3 files with abnormal ID3 tags.

The Cowon iAudio 10 receiver firmware 1.06 brings fixes for the recognition errors while in sleep mode, Favorite lists being generated after deleting files, and the FF/ REW issue occurring when playing 1 hour or longer files. The same Mac/ Linux and ID3 tag errors like those above have been corrected, as well.

Finally, the Cowon J3 firmware version 2.28 fixes the display errors occurring in the Video browser, while taking care of the ID3 tag and Mac/ Linux issues, too. Download COWON C2 Firmware 1.15 Download iAUDIO 10 Firmware 1.06 Download COWON J3 Firmware 2.28.
