Amazon offers all the Kindle Fire HD 8.9'', Fire HD 7'', as well as the Fire 2nd Generation owners new firmware versions, namely 8.3.0, 7.3.0, and 10.3.0 respectively. The firmware can be delivered wirelessly, but only if you wait for your turn.

The good part is that it can be installed manually, so that you can benefit from the new features and performance improvements as soon as possible. So let’s discover the changes in this release.

The new firmware versions bring the same updates, except for the X-Ray Textbook support that isn’t available for the Kindle Fire HD 8.9''.

For all these three devices, Simplified Chinese is added to the other available languages.  Even more, you can now use the Time to Read feature that calculates your reading speed, and you can also read books that contain audio/video clips.

Moreover, the package improves the Print Replica Textbook feature that helps you quickly jump between chapters through thumbnail at the bottom of the screen.

The manual installation process is similar to the previous versions.
