We reported last week on a new firmware version that has been certified for Sony Xperia T and Xperia TX, which was supposed to fix some of the phone’s bugs and performance issues.

According to XperiaBlog, the same firmware version (9.1.A.1.138) has just been certified for another Sony smartphone, the Xperia V.

The new software version recently received PTCRB’s approval, which means it shouldn’t take too long until Xperia V owners start getting it on their devices.

As we mentioned earlier, this update is meant to fix a critical bug found in Walkman application, which stops it from working when the display locks.

In addition, some performance improvements and lots of miscellaneous fixes are probably included in the update as well. Stay tuned for more info on the matter.
