TRENDnet has recently released firmware version 1.1.2 for its TV-IP410, TV-IP410W, TV-IP410WN products. With this update, the network cameras get a security vulnerability fix.

Before you start the installation, be advised that it is not recommended to save the camera's configuration file and restore it after the update. Also, after the firmware installation is complete, please perform a factory reset on the camera.

Use a wired connection between the computer and camera and proceed as follows. First, download the firmware archive at the link below according to the device model. Next, unzip it to an accessible location (like your Desktop).

Use a browser to log into the configuration page. The default address is http://192.168.10.30 and the default username and password are both “admin.”

In the menu, select “Setup,” then “Tools” and, under the “Update Firmware” section, click “Browse.” Locate the recently unpacked firmware file and click “Open.”

When you come back to the camera configuration page, press “Update” and wait for the installation to complete. It will take about 60 seconds and then another 30 seconds for the device to reboot.

Get the latest firmware at the link below and stay “updated one minute ago.”
