Fujifilm have announced their most advanced A-series model, the A700, which features, a 7.3 Megapixel Super CCD sensor, a 2.4" LCD and 3x optical zoom.
The press release emphasizes the 7.3 MegaPixel Super CCD sensor, which was originally placed in digital cameras aimed at advanced amateur and professional photographers.
The first cameras to include the Super CCD were the FinePix A400 and FinePix A500 digital cameras. Those cameras carried four and five sensors, respectively, and were followed later by the six MegaPixel FinePix A600.
The seven MegaPixel FinePix A700 is the latest progression in the series and offers users a greatest photo flexibility.
As a result of this sensor, the company touts the FinePix A700's unrivalled low noise performance across its ISO 100-400 sensitivity range.
The camera has approximately 12MB of on-board storage just in case the removable, xD-Picture Card (sold separately) fills with photos and it is powered by two AA batteries.
The FinePix A700 will be in stores early October and will sell at a price of $199.
