Crisis Core, a new member of the FF VII family

It should have surfaced in 2004, but we're in early 2007 and we barely got some screenshots of the long awaited sequel for the best game in the Final Fantasy series: Final Fantasy VII. This new game will be called Crisis Core and it focuses on Zack's story, rather than the classic plot involving Cloud, Aeris and the Shinra boys. It should have been a PSP title, when it was first announced, but who knows what ports we'll see if the title goes gold in a couple of weeks. We've seen some screenshots of Cloud, Sephiroth and Aeris and they look better than they did in any of the previous Final Fantasy VII titles.

While Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII managed to use Vincent's fame to create a pretty good story, Crisis Core capitalizes on Cloud's best friend, Zack and his adventures as a member of Soldier. Square-Enix's latest Final Fantasy will be an action role-playing game and is part of a compilation that includes Before Crisis- FF VII, Dirge of Cerberus: FF VII , the movie Final Fantasy VII Advent Children and the anime Last Order FF VII. If you've watched the Square-Enix's anime, you might be familiar to what happened to Cloud after he and Zack ran from Nibelheim, leaving the Shinra Corporation. The Genesis Project from Dirge of Cerberus will also be mentioned and you might be interested that "G" (Genesis) was a member of Soldier that was sealed under the city of Midgar.

As usual with famous games, many celebrities will be teamed up to voice the characters in Crisis Core. Among them is Mena Suvari that will be the voice of the beautiful Aeris Gainsborough, Cloud's lover.
