It's a world of beautiful landscapes and demented violence

Ubisoft has just released another teaser trailer for Far Cry 4, showing us more of the exciting action that's in store come November.

The developer has also released a new batch of screenshots, showing more of the environments we'll be able to explore and some of the enemies we're about to face, complete with teasing us about the ways we'll be able to dispose of them, ways which include rampaging elephants.

"This is one of those trailers where a long preamble just isn't necessary. Because survival is the only thing that matters – especially when you're thrust into the treacherous land of Kyrat, the dangerous and unpredictable setting of Far Cry 4," the description on Ubisoft's blog reads.

As usual, the company's choice of music is top-notch, and J2 and Blu Holliday's rendition of Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive" complements the crazy action on-screen just perfectly, with its retrospective mood and mysterious undertones.

An adventure on a grand scale

In Far Cry 4, players will undertake a momentous adventure set in Kyrat, a fictional country set in the Himalayas, that is torn apart by a civil war, struggling under the regime of a despotic ruler trying to secure the reins of power, Pagan Min.

Players will take on the role of a native of Kyrat returning to his homeland to scatter his mother's ashes. Getting caught in the crossfire and in the insane web of machinations woven by Pagan Min, you will have to make your way through a wild region of your homeland, facing countless enemies.

After receiving feedback from Far Cry 3 players, Ubisoft has promised to make the open-world gameplay tie in better with the core storyline, so players wouldn't feel disjointed, like playing two different games.

More and more ambitious

In addition to this, the developers have also promised to deliver an experience that will be new and exciting for even the most hardcore Far Cry 3 fans, with a lot of improvements and additions, including the ability to shoot people in the face while riding elephants.

The developers face a pretty daunting task, coming up with an antagonist that is more annoying and demented than Far Cry 3's Vaas, for players to feel motivated to take down, but from what we've seen so far, they're doing a good job.

Far Cry 4 is coming out on November 18 worldwide, headed to the PC, the Xbox 360 and Xbox One computer entertainment systems from Microsoft, and the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 home consoles from Sony.
