New Expression Betas Available from Microsoft

For Expression Blend and Design

Expression Blend (formally Interactive Designer) Beta 2 and Expression Design (formally Graphic Designer) Beta 1 are now available for download. The releases are designed to build on
Microsoft's vision of the Expression Studio. With the two latest additions to the Expression family, the Redmond Company is one step closer to its intention to deliver the development tools and platform technologies that will enable the creation of content "across the Web, the Windows desktop, mobile devices and the digital home," according to S. Somasegar, corporate vice president of the Developer Division at Microsoft.

Expression Blend Beta 2 is designed to bridge the Web and the desktop via a new wave of next-generation applications. "Think of it as your virtual playground. Mix design elements such as video, vector art, high quality text, animation, pixel images, and 3D content with a full toolbox of advanced controls and containers to create engaging, cinematic user interfaces," reads Microsoft invitation for Expression Blend.

Expression Design Beta 1 works in concert with Expression Blend, enabling users to create vector assets. Microsoft has applauded the seamless integration between the two products via XAML transfers.

"Don't let your design degenerate when it's handed off to someone else. Now, you can be confident that the look-and-feel-such as a corporate identity or user interface elements-will be maintained all the way to the final product. Build your assets in Expression Design, export them as XAML, and give them life with Expression Blend's interactive features," reads a fragment of the products description.

Microsoft Expression Blend Beta 2 was tested by Softpedia as being 100% Clean and is available for Download here.
