Snap added a new feature to its search engine

Snap is a search engine that was neglected by Internet users because Google and Yahoo attracted a huge number of search engine lovers.

Although its results are no better than the ones provided by the two giants, Snap added a new feature that will amaze you with its interface.

The appearance of the service is structured in two columns, with all the search results displayed in the left part of the screen and with a preview of the image in the right panel. The second column also contains details about the website that provides the image as well as some information about the selected picture.

"Snap is a very different way of searching, one we suspect will take a bit of getting used to. As you can imagine, we've done a ton of usability testing in developing Snap and here's what we've learned: while Snap isn't complicated, it is a different way of searching in which a little bit of orientation goes a long way to increasing satisfaction. So, we've tried to help introduce ourselves to you in a number of ways," Snap said.

"The results are no better than that offered by the big guys, but Snap's unique two column interface is something that some users find to be really cool. The problem with the lack of available photo meta data to assist with queries continues to plague all search engines, of course, leading to less than great results," TechCrunch described the service.

I agree the interface of this exciting service is really remarkable because it provides an easy and attracting way for searching for an image. But, despite this appearance, the service must be improved a lot to provide the same results as Google or Yahoo.
