No details about its name or features

After unofficially unveiling an MTV Edition of the high-end W760 Walkman phone, Sony Ericsson now comes with a new handset, and an entry-level one this time, which we don't know too many things about. Even its name remains unveiled, so for the moment we don't know how to call it.

The new Sony Ericsson phone is a candybar that appeared in three leaked photos at SE4m, a Sony Ericsson dedicated forum from the Middle East. As in the case of all the leaked photos presenting new handsets, the ones that show the unknown SE candybar are not too clear and do not give many details about the features of the device. Even so, it's obvious that the phone is an entry-level one, as its display is really small, probably having a resolution of no more than 128 x 128 pixels.

The keypad of the new candybar looks simple (hence easy to use), while its d-pad seems quite unusual for a Sony Ericsson phone. On the back of the device there's a photo camera and we're guessing it will not have more than 1.3 Megapixels, lacking both auto focus and flash (the flash is out of the question anyway, as it can't be seen near the camera lens). Anyway, the handset is really small and it has an overall nice look (although simple), which is a good thing.

All in all, this newly leaked candybar will probably be targeted for emerging markets (India, China and so on), where it will have a very affordable price. The phone could be officially presented by Sony Ericsson on the 17th of June, when rumors say that the Swedish-Japanese company will also unveil the high-end Paris slider and the G702, also known as Sony Ericsson BeiBei. Let's wait until June 17 then.
